Latest UKVI Update for International Student

Important news for students planning to study in the UK!

The UK Home Office has announced significant updates to the Student and Graduate Visa Rules, which will apply to applications made from November 2025 onward.

Increased Financial (Maintenance) Requirement

From 11th November 2025, students must show higher proof of funds:

 £1,529 per month – For courses in London

£1,171 per month – For courses outside London

 Proof of up to 9 months of living costs is required.

 Prepaid accommodation offset has been increased to £1,529.

 Graduate Route (Post-Study Work Visa) Update

Starting 1st January 2027:

 Bachelor’s & Master’s graduates will now receive 18 months stay instead of 2 years.

 PhD graduates remain eligible for a 3-year Graduate Visa.

 What this means for you:

• If you are applying before November 2025, current financial rules apply.

• Those planning for intakes in 2026 and beyond should prepare for the new financial requirements.
